Hello October! At Back to the Garden Childcare in Broadheath, we are passionate about creating a beautiful day nursery where kindness and nurturing is the norm! We have purposely planned a curriculum that encourages children to not only care for each other and their families and friends, but also the environment and the world around them.
We know how important it is to look after our amazing planet, especially now more than ever! With this being one of our core values, we’re proactive about doing our part and try to incorporate this into life at Back to the Garden Childcare in Cheshire wherever possible.
We use disposable nappies from Kit and Kin UK
Every child receives their very own Klean Kanteen reusable, eco-friendly water bottle
We recycle packaging and other materials wherever possible
We buy as much fresh food as possible to minimise the use of packaging
Not only do we look after our external environment; our internal environment and attitudes within the nursery are just as important! We’re all about nurturing our minds and feelings at Back to the Garden Childcare, which is why we find Yoga and mindfulness activities so important to include in the curriculum. Yoga helps to encourage self-development and mindfulness in children from a young age, and that’s why we bring the children together to take part.
These moments of togetherness also make sure that we’re encouraging all the children to look out for each other, creating a beautiful day nursery that is filled with respectful relationships, encouragement, warmth and acceptance. This can be from getting preschoolers ready for their next chapter by integrating all ages, or by letting the older children help our newest children settle into their environment!
